SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS is the tropical southernmost part of the world's longest barrier reef island on the Gulf of Mexico at the Texas / Mexico border. Located 2 miles off the southern tip of Texas, South Padre Island is connected to the mainland by the Queen Isabella Causeway.
