Great

For a donation, what a great place for kids! Touch tanks and
lots to see and learn. We were the only ones there and the gentleman let
my son (5) feed his fish and hermit carbs! He was thrilled!
Educational dolphin encounters with
Scarlet, Dolphin Whisperer

Scarlet and her little dog Rozzi lead the tour looking for
dolphins. Being the dolphin whisperer, she calls to them. This was a
most memorable experience with my brother, his wife and daughter along
with my family. We learned about the habitat of the dolphins, observed
them in their pods and they jumped and played so close to the pontoon
boat. I felt comfortable, safe, while the tour was educational,
informative, and affordable. I recommend this tour to those that have
compassion for our environment and want to know what roles we all play
in the safety and future of these marvelous mammals and our seas. I am
planning to return to South Padre Island for another marvelous dolphin
encounter with the dolphin whisperer and her little dog Rozzi!
An experience you don't want to miss

Am planning yet another visit to Port Isabel and South Padre
Island and simply had to share my experience with the Dolphin Research
and Sea Life Nature Center tours on the Laguna Madre. Be forewarned,
those trips are addictive. I go about twice a year and never have missed
joining a dolphin and/or birding trip with skipper Scarlet. Whether I
went with my husband, family visiting from Germany or birding friends
from all over Texas and the US - not a single person, from under 10 to
over 80, has come away from those outings without being awed by the
dolphins, the abundance of bird life and the beautiful setting in
general. The fact that you are out there among the dolphins in a stable,
close to the water pontoon boat for just 6 people makes all the
difference. The quiet environmentally friendly 4 stroke motor scoots up
to them without causing them alarm. They know the boat, come up to it
and play all around you. Great photo opportunities also with the cutest
of dolphin dogs that rides along on each trip. The skipper clearly loves
and respects "her" dolphins and the sea life around them ... and it sure
seems to be mutual.
LIFE
CHANGING. INSPIRING - FLOWING WITH COMPASSION AND EDUCATION

I went out twice during my two week visit to Padre Island. What
I expected was to see some dolphins. What I learned, is that these
beautiful creatures CHOOSE if and when they want to interact and with
Scarlet, because of her love, compassion and respect for the sea, they
do. Scarlet begins her tours by telling us about the area and the
different sites that we see. I did not hear a negative word about shrimp
boats. In fact, what I heard was about the IMPROVEMENTS that have been
made in regards to Sea Turtles and the measures that the boats have put
in place to ensure that if they are caught, they are released safely. I
learned about all of the birds that live in the area, how they feed and
about the bird pecking order. Very interesting. When Scarlet found the
dolphins, she stopped about 1/2 a football field away and called to
them. She explained that they are giving birth now and that when you
approach these wild dolphins, you should stop and call to them. They are
very smart and love to play and if they are not hunting or teaching
their young, and they are so inclined, they will come to the boat. I
have video of how this all came about and if I wasn't there to witness
it, I might have thought I was crazy. But it was the most beautiful with
nature that I have ever been a part of. Scarlet told us about other sea
life and how they all interact, we saw a green sea turtle swim by, we
learned of sharks and how dolphins are very protective of their waters
and things in it when sharks come by. One thing that I enjoyed most
about Scarlet is how she strives to help everyone understand how to
enjoy the dolphins without causing anxiety for anyone. She approached a
boat who was pretty much chasing a pod of dolphins and told them how to
sit back and call to them or clap and if the dolphins want to interact,
they will come to the boat. I also saw a HUGE dolphin watch boat
approach and the dolphins when way down deep for quite a while - until
the boat was out of site. The dolphins came back up spewing water from
their spouts and "coughing" through it. It was apparent to me that they
are not comfortable with these large boats as have driven right through
a pod of playing dolphins to try and get them to jump in their wake. I
visit Padre Island for two weeks every year and I cannot wait until next
year. God bless Scarlet, the lives that she touches and the sea life
that she educates us all on so we can all live in harmony and learn from
each other.

We went out for a dolphin watch tour with Scarlett & Rozzi and
had a blast! The dolphins were very active that day, even coming up to
the boat to show us the fish they caught. And one momma brought her cute
little calf right up to the boat to show him off! Scarlett really loves
these dolphins and it's obvious they love her right back! And Rozzi the
dolphin dog was so cute as he pointed out the dolphins whenever they
were near. Definitely
